Commemorates Israel's deliverance from Egypt.
On the fourteenth day of the first month, at twilight, Israel keeps the Passover. The lamb, the blood on the doorposts and the night of deliverance from Egypt are remembered as the founding act of redemption — the beginning of months for the covenant people.
